Early Childhood Education

Central Kids has been nurturing tamariki, whānau, and communities across the Central North Island since 1951. With 50 centres spanning Rotorua, Tauranga, Hamilton, and Tokoroa, they are one of the region's most established early childhood providers. AraHina has had the privilege of partnering with Central Kids on their strategy journey over the past three years.

Their strategy journey began alongside the Board, Executive Leadership Team, and Senior Leadership Team, where together we explored Central Kids' rich 70-year whakapapa. We drew out the insights, values, and identity that have shaped who they are today. From this foundation, the Kōkiri Hī strategy was born. A strategy grounded in te ao Māori, true to their heritage, and designed to carry them forward with clarity and purpose.

Once the strategy was complete, we reconnected with the Executive Leadership Team and Board to develop a high-level action plan before officially launching Kōkiri Hī across all regions in December 2025.

Now, we are preparing to roll out the strategy across the regions, supporting each team to develop their own action plans and ensuring Kōkiri Hī is embedded and alive throughout the organisation.
