AgResearch is one of Aotearoa’s leading Crown Research Institutes, with a dedicated Māori Research & Partnerships team committed to embedding te ao Māori across science and innovation. A te ao Māori strategy wānanga was designed and facilitated with the team to review and refine the Te Ara Tika: Transforming AgResearch strategy. The process brought together new and existing members to reflect, align, and strengthen the strategic direction. A refreshed strategy was developed – grounded in te ao Māori, integrating evolving science priorities and reaffirming collective aspirations to embed mātauranga Māori across AgResearch.
The team chose our Strategy & Action Plan Package, delivered over two consecutive days, to move from vision to action. This approach allowed us to design a clear, practical roadmap that connected the project’s cultural and scientific aspirations with tangible steps to directly address the barriers that Māori people and organisations experience when working with a traditional science organisation such as AgResearch.
